Start of the New Season with 4 matches and our social chess night

So with the pre-season matches of the Two Towns (finished 2nd) and the Dorchester Jamboree where we retained the plate completed, the season starts off with a bang this week.

Four of our five B & DCL  teams are in action with our D team (Div 4) playing at Purbeck tonight. Team of Mike R/Tony/Mike Minvalla and yours truly on site correspondant.

Our A team (Div 1) are at Wimborne on Wednesday evening with a team of Richard Allis marking his debut, Martin/John and Richie standing in for Mike Duggan.

Our first home matches are on Thursday with our B team (Div 1) Chip/ David /Toby and Dragi  and for our E team (Div 5) Christine/Joe/Mike Minvalla and Junior Jamie. Joe and Mike are also making their debut for the club.

Teams are at the time of writing. I wish our new players a happy and enjoyable season along with all our regulars in wishing all success. Please refer to the  www.ECF League Management System (LMS) for results and reports either directly or via the www.dorsetchess web sites.

Can I also remind you we are starting our regular social chess night tomorrow 17/9 at the club for those players that wish to come along on a non league night to play or practice. Please try to come along if you possibly can and remember guests and other non-members are always welcome.
