Poole Club Championships – Final Results

The 2018 Club Championship have now been completed with the Final of the Minor section played last week.

Congratulations to Richie Smith for winning the Minor section and successful against Derek Chapman, Tony Pritchard, Adam Jaggard  and  David Lockwood in the Final, this caps off an excellent season for Richie who also won the Boardman Trophy which is awarded to the best score in the 4th Division with a score of 9/10 for the D team.

I also need to mention David Lockwood who beat Don Hewson, Kyrstoff Itrich and Seth Rider along the way, all higher graded players to reach the Final, great effort.

Congratulations to Mike Duggan who became the overall Club Champion for 2018 in his first season at the club. Mike had successful games against Sergiu, Oscar and Chip in the Final.

In the Intermediate section the winner was yours truly in a very tough and enjoyable game against Joergen Neilson, also being successful against Tarik and Mike Rutter.

Presentations for these shields will be made at the AGM on the 26 July.

Thank you all for competing in the competition which produced some excellent and very exciting games and finishes.
