Last Night’s Semi final – Result

After some delay as both Graham & Dragi have had many league games they sat down for the right to play Mike Minvalla in this competition, some of called it the autumn or winter cup.

In a tense game where both players gave all Dragi came out on top in one of his familiar end games. With the time difference very much with Graham, Dragi carefully swapped off pieces and had too much at the end. Considering this is Graham’s first competitive league chess season reaching the semi final, is a really good effort, well done.

Congratulations to Dragi for reaching his first final at the club whom has earned the right to play Mike in the final. I am sure it will be very interesting, tickets on sale!

I am really pleased we will have a new name on the trophy, good luck to both players in the final.
