Dorset League matches come to conclusion tomorrow night at the club – Winners take all

Tomorrow night 10/5 at the club our Dorset League A and C teams have their final matches in what should be an exciting end to the season.

Opposition is Wimborne A & Dorchester D respectively and  we are top of each league by 1 point and so tomorrow 1st plays the 2nd team for the Title in each Division. It should be a thrilling conclusion and I can forecast some close finishes.

This is the start of  an extremely  busy programme of chess at the club and a reminder that our A team have 2 matches next week on the 14/5 (Monday) and 16/5 (Wednesday) and I invite you to all to come along to the club on this night and see if the team can win the league on either occasion. It would be good to create a busy chess club environment for these matches.

Our D team plays one of their two remaining matches on the 16/5 at Wimborne and need 2 wins from 2 games to win the 4th Division Title.

On the 17/5 at home our E team play their Final game against Southbourne E and are currently in 2nd place in Division 4, all top play for.

Our C team play their Final league division 3 game which will be the title decider at Southbourne on the 18/5.

Finally as a reminder our Handicap team play the Final at Wimborne on the 23/5, all visitors welcome and they do have a bar at the Merley Social/Community club.
