CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP

We are starting to take names from members who would like to play in the competition with the usual rules applying except a reduction in the time control to 1 hr each which still qualifies for grading. Chip and myself will be contacting you to enter and hoping as many members including our new ones will join. The event will start in February and run through to end of May. Details and the draw will be published separately.

COVID UPDATE from Martin Simons
Following the UK government update last week … ‘From Thursday 27th January face coverings are no longer required by law in any setting. Public health guidance will remain in place, suggesting individuals should continue to wear a face covering in crowded and enclosed spaces, where you may come into contact with people you do not normally meet.’

This applies to our local league chess club settings.
