Chess at the club this Friday 11th September

Previous to my last news post, I can confirm that we have been granted permission by the Servicemens Club to use the large downstairs room for playing chess on Friday nights, without charge!

So if you fancy a friendly game and social gathering, yes the bar will be open, come on down this Friday 11^th September from 7.30pm onwards, note that the club will close at 11pm.

The chess club will provide gloves and sanitizing gel for those who would like to use it, but if you want to wear a mask or face shield please bring your own.

As the chess equipment has not been used for several months there is no danger of any covid19, but we will need to clean sets, boards and clocks afterwards, so please help there.
