Big games this week – not Carlsen/Caruana – 4 matches locally

And so with the World Championship locked at 4-4 at the time of writing (Monday 19.30) we have 4 matches to focus on this week.

On Wednesday we have 2 teams at Wimborne. Our A team resume their campaign with a match vs Wimborne A which will be tough but we have an excellent team who will do their best.

Its the regular team of Martin, Mike, John and David, good luck to them.

This match starts a run of 3 matches over the next 2 weeks at Southbourne on the 30/11 and against  our own club members Poole B on the 5/12. Note a Wednesday fixture this game for any interested spectators!

Also at Wimborne is our F team who will play their second match of the season against Wimborne F.

The team will be Chris A, Paul,  Captain Steve, and Ben a Junior from Lytchett Minster making his league and Poole debut.

And, good luck to them.

On Thursday our D team are at home to Wimborne D with a team of Simon Fox/Stephen Chappell/Adam Jaggard and Captain Mike Rutter.

Our Poole Knights team of Juniors will be joined by Graham Morris playing his first game for the club so good luck to Graham and the team. Their first game which ended 2-2 was a fantastic result at Highcliffe and so it bodes well for the future.
