Dorset Jamboree – A Great Evening of Chess & Friendship

What a great evening at Poole Chess Club for the 2026 Dorset Jamboree!

A very informal competition, although there was certainly plenty of anticipation and some seriously competitive games! With players from clubs across Dorset coming together, the club was buzzing throughout the evening with great chess, plenty of conversation and lots of laughter.

And who could forget the mysterious cat growling from someone’s phone?!

The Results:

• Weymouth – 1 points

• Allstars – 1.5 points

• Southbourne – 2.5 points

• Highcliffe – 3.5 points

• Yeovil – 4 points

• Ringwood – 4 points

• Poole – 4.5 points

A fantastic evening amongst friends and wider club members, with Poole clinching the win on the night.
