Two Towns Chess Match

A fantastic turnout for the latest Poole vs Bournemouth match, bringing together a great blend of youth and veteran players.

The evening had plenty of strategic thinking, competitive chess and great conversations both across and away from the boards. It was particularly good to see Lucas mark his first games for Poole with a couple of wins, looking relaxed and enjoying the analysis afterwards. It was brilliant to see players of all ages coming together for an enjoyable evening of chess.

Bournemouth took the match victory 31 – 27 and the trophy, but in traditional fashion, the result was very much secondary to the opportunity to catch up with friends and fellow players ahead of the new season.

A great evening for both clubs and an excellent start to another season of Two Towns chess!
