VI Chess Experience
See the game through a different set of eyes…or even through no eyes.
VI chess – Visually Impaired chess is a challenge that many don’t have a choice about, but Poole Chess Club is giving an opportunity for people to learn more about visual impairments and how it can affect the game of chess.
Steve will be showcasing a variety of sim-specs which allow various different visual conditions to be simulated. It’s easy to think of visual impairment as a binary all-or-nothing condition, but there are many variations in between.
We will also have braille boards – allowing chess to be played by touch instead of vision. Have a go and see how it affects your game to be able to feel the position.
Come along to Poole Chess Club on Monday 6th July at 7:30 to participate, experience and learn more about how chess can be an inclusive accessible activity.
We will also be taking donation for Bournemouth Blind. All welcome, members and non-members alike.
