Poole F home match vs Highcliffe B – 21 September

In Division 5 of B & DL, with one loss, one win and two draws, Poole F team drew with Highcliffe B team. Not a bad start to the season and some interesting games were played. Captain, Steve Bailey, would like to thank the team for contributing to some exciting games. In fact, on board 1, time pressure resulted in an offered and accepted draw.

We had a packed Club that evening, as two other home matches took place at the same time. It’s so good to see Poole continuing to be a thriving local Club, with many members not involved in the three home matches turning up and playing social chess. A busy night!
