Highcliffe fielded an experienced team but to no avail as Eric’s young future stars of Dorset chess took them to task very quickly gaining strong opening positions on boards 1,3, and 4. But for a small blunder on board 2 from a winning position it would have been a served whitewash. Board 2 salvaged some consolation but Poole Bishops played well on all boards and deserved their win being a credit to Eric and Poole and their very supportive parents.
