Our Dorset League A team secure their first win of the season

On a busy night at the club last Thursday 27/10 where we also hosted a Purbeck/Highcliffe match our D League A team beat Dorchester A 2.5/1.5 to gain their first point of the season (1/2 matches now).

In a match where the  overall grades  were close however it felt quite a comfortable victory in that the team seemed connected.  So, early draws were achieved  by John and Dragi initially looking over Mike’s game on Bd 1 who was clearly in a winning position and so David on Bd 4 also agreed the third draw to secure the overall win.

Well done team and specifically Mike who’s victory was key to gaining the first points of the season.

The match was played in a good spirit and we thank Dorchester for joining in the spirit of the evening.
