An opportunity to resume OTB Chess

Hi Everyone

The latest news I can offer regarding the re-opening of our chess club is that the upstairs RBL ‘Manning’ room remains closed, so no chess up there.

BUT, the Servicemens Club is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for the time being and to enable us to return to club meetings and OTB chess, the Servicemens have offered us use of the downstairs room (where we have had our AGM’s and Two Towns matches) on Friday nights.

Obviously that is not our normal social night, but it’s an opportunity, which is worth considering.

So the question is, are there any members prepared to trek down on a Friday to play some friendly chess? If so please let Eric know and if we can get enough members interested we can make further arrangements.
